4G taxi free phones. Direct taxi calling on 4G.

4G taxi free phones give visitors and staff a direct call to a licensed taxi operator we’ve vetted. The handset connects directly to the taxi service.

Form and fit

This help-point can sit on a desk or mount to a wall.

Supplied with bespoke approved signage, the taxi phone gives the site a direct taxi call without ordering a telephone line. A visitor or member of staff lifts the handset and reaches the taxi service through the licensed operator. It’s fitted where a fixed telephone line isn’t in place.

The 4G taxi free phone is 90mm high, 200mm wide and 210mm deep, uses the 4G mobile network and needs mains power.

Self Monitoring and Reporting Technology (SMART) supports remote fault detection and collects usage statistics, so Infopoint can maintain the help-point and review call usage.

Installation and maintenance

Infopoint handles installation and maintenance.

From survey to switch-on, Infopoint plans the position, arranges installation and commissions the help-point. This 4G model doesn’t need a fixed telephone line. SIM rental and call charges are covered and your approved contractor used where possible.

In service, daily automated remote health checks support maintenance, with most faults fixed remotely. If a site visit is needed, an engineer is on site within 48 hours of the fault being raised. The number the help-point dials is reprogrammed remotely when the taxi operator changes.

When the taxi operator funds the help-point, your site carries no capital cost. Infopoint manages the relationship with the operator, monitors performance and holds them to the agreed standard.
